Norsk Kylling is approved as a halal producer
In 2024, we were certified by the Islamic Council of Norway to produce halal chicken. By the first quarter of 2025, we were able to offer halal chicken products in all REMA 1000 stores across the country.
Norsk Kylling is the only company in Norway that offers halal chicken produced according to the ECC standard. The halal production is separated from other production lines but follows the same strict animal welfare requirements. The chickens are received as usual and undergo the same stunning method before slaughter. Gisle Ranum, Sales Director at Norsk Kylling, is pleased that it is now easier for consumers to access halal chicken.

We need to talk about chicken
In 2024, we really started talking about slower-growing chicken. We ran a national campaign across various platforms with Birgit Skarstein as our spokesperson. There are still many people who aren't familiar with the products we produce, and who don't understand why the type of chicken we use matters. To share our story, we need the help of great ambassadors like Birgit.
New Solvinge design
In 2024, we worked towards launching a new design for Solvinge products. We have refreshed the entire profile, with an updated logo, new colors, and elements, to modernise and inspire. The new design will be launched in the first half of 2025.

Medals in the Norwegian Championships in Meat Products
At the Norwegian Championships in Meat Products 2024, Norsk Kylling and Solvinge were honored with gold, silver, and bronze in the sausage and grill categories.
